Grant County Martial Arts
Kung Fu & Tai Chi

Grant County Martial Arts (GCMA) offers training in the ancient Chinese martial arts of Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi. GCMA focuses on strength conditioning, cardio improvement, self-defense and building self-confidence through martial arts training and techniques.

We offer a wide variety of classes as well as a wide range of forms and techniques to suit the needs of many people, including children, teens, adults and seniors. Instructors at GCMA are chosen not only for their depth of skill within the art itself, but for their dedication in teaching the art to others through methods that promote positive attitude, respect and fitness. Our instructors provide personal instruction to each student to develop and improve in a number of areas such as:

  • Overall Conditioning: Improving tone, endurance, strength, bone density, speed and agility Self-Defense: Perfecting self-defense techniques and understanding how to control a situation.
  • Focus, Attention and Awareness: Building mental discipline while developing physical abilities.
  • Balance, Coordination and Grace: The basics for effective movement in defense or artistic style.
  • Respect for Self and Others: Understanding harmony with others and building one’s self confidence.

Classes are structured to promote interaction with all students and to develop a family atmosphere at the Dojo (training facility). The training is tailored to compliment the ability of the individual student. The outcome is achieving self-enhancement, both physically and mentally, to achieve a better quality of life.

No previous martial arts experience is required. We welcome all students regardless of your levels of physical conditioning. No matter where you are in your journey, the experience offered at GCMA can be life changing.
